Introduction: Obesity is a chronic disease associated with increased risk for several cancers, including colorectal cancer (CRC), leading cause of cancer-related mortality. The majority CRC cases are modifiable factors. Metabolic and bariatric surgery (MBS) proven, durable, successful intervention obesity. This study aimed to evaluate the impact MBS on through measures association, such as relative (RR) odds ratio (OR). Methods: A systematic search PubMed, Scopus, Web Science, ScienceDirect, Embase was conducted identify reviews (SR) meta-analyses examining relationship between obesity treated incidence. PICO framework guided inclusion criteria, three independent reviewers screened articles using Rayyan software. Quality assessment performed AMSTAR2. Results: Of 1336 articles, 10 SR met encompassing 53,452,658 patients. Meta-analyses consistently showed significant reduction in following patients severe Risk reductions were reported by Liu et al. (RR: 0.46, 95% CI: 0.32–0.67, p < 0.01), Chierici 0.28–0.75, = 0.018), Wilson 0.69, 0.53–0.88, 0.003), Pararas 0.56, 0.40–0.80, 0.001). Sensitivity analyses supported these findings. For colon cancer, both an RR 0.75 (95% 0.46–1.21, 0.2444) heterogeneity (I2 89%). trend towards reduced rectal 0.74, 0.40–1.39, 0.3523) noted but limited fewer studies. Sex-specific revealed protective effects sexes, more pronounced females 0.54, 0.37–0.79, 0.0014). Conclusions: umbrella review synthesizes current evidence risk, highlighting consistent association. findings also indicate potential effect observed among compared males. Given profound implications incidence, morbidity, mortality, further high-quality, long-term studies essential deepen our understanding optimize its role prevention patient care.

Among the different pathways involved in cell-to-cell communication, extracellular vesicles (EVs) are defined as key players transport of signalling molecules, such lipids, proteins, and RNA, from originating cells to specific target cells. The biogenesis composition EVs complex confer them a unique ability more effectively reach tissues compared other types synthetic carriers. Owing these properties, have been suggested new therapeutic tools for personalized medicine. Since cardiometabolic diseases reached pandemic proportions, therapies needed be developed. In this context, appear promising against disorders associated with obesity diabetes. This review focuses on latest research preclinical applications diseases, draw primarily our experience area.

Purpose of review Left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy (LVH) is a well recognized target organ adaptation to longstanding uncontrolled hypertension and other cardiovascular risk factors. It also strong independent predictor many disorders. Recent findings This focused explores the current concepts in screening, diagnosis, prevention, treatment LVH patients with hypertension. Currently, primary screening diagnostic tools for are ECG 2D echocardiography. Implementing machine learning modalities can improve sensitivity detection LVH. Lifestyle modifications, blood pressure control antihypertensive therapy, management comorbidities aid preventing reversing LV remodeling. Objectives: To evaluate the relationship between blood glucose levels and lipid profiles in diabetic individuals with without cardiac disease. Study Design: A Cross-sectional Place duration of study: Department Diabetes & Endocrinology Cardiology HMC Hospital Peshawar from 11 Jan 2022 to July Methodology: For study, 90 people were split up into comparative groups. patients divided non-cardiac questionnaire was used gather demographic information, a physical examination document clinical data. Every patient had drawn for further profile glycemic tests. Data analysis done using SPSS version 28. Results: The average age problems (n = 45) substantially more significant than that (44.49 ± 10.22 years), at 52.36 09.77 years. two groups showed markedly reduced HDL-C higher total cholesterol, LDL-C, levels, suggesting robust biochemical indicators cardiovascular diabetes. Background: Some research have indicated that Bariatric and metabolic surgery (BMS) can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) among individuals with obesity. However, there are few reports available focuses on assessing effect BMS CVD in Chinese population using multiple models. Objective: This aims to assess function patients obesity Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis basic data glycolipid metabolism preoperatively postoperatively from at our hospital. Subgroup was carried out according different surgical procedures. Then, assessed four models, including: China-PAR model, Framingham score (FRS), World Health Organization (WHO) Globorisk model. Results: enrolled 64 patients, 24 (37.5%) whom underwent laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) while 40 (62.5%) Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB). The 10-year for calculated model decreased 6.3% 2.0% 1 year statistically significantly different. Similarly, FRS, WHO, Global compared preoperatively. When FRS used calculate patients' 30-year postoperative risk, significant decrease after preoperative period. employing various models evaluate LSG RYGB, no difference found 1-year RRR between Conclusion: reduced In terms improving SG RYGB appear be equally effective.
