This study explored how participating in physical activities influences the social adjustment of college freshmen, focusing on role perceived support and chain effects cognitive reappraisal psychological resilience. A survey was conducted with 1,061 freshmen from Zhejiang Province using five scales: Physical Activity Scale, Perceived Social Support Cognitive Reappraisal Psychological Resilience Adjustment Capacity Scale. The results showed that activity positively enhances adjustment, resilience serving as mediators. Additionally, found to strengthen this chain-mediated relationship. research provides new perspectives link between offers practical suggestions for improving education programs.

School bullying can affect adolescent suicidal ideation (SI), but the mediating and moderating effects behind this association are still unclear, especially for students in vocational schools. This study explored relationship between school (SI) among China, it constructs a moderated mediation model to examine of physical anhedonia (PA) social (SA), as well cognitive reappraisal (CR) expressive suppression (ES). Convenience sampling was conducted. The sample included 13,675 (57.7 % female) with an average age 15.88 years (ranging from 13 21) schools Hainan Province, China. Participants completed questionnaires on demographics, bullying, PA, SA, CR, ES, SI. results showed that prevalence rates SI bullied were significantly higher (40.7 %, 37.8 34.0 respectively). Mediation analysis revealed had significant indirect effect through PA SA (accounting 42.4 total effect), being key mediator. Moderated confirmed CR via PA/SA SI, ES did not moderate female group. induces by impacting process. provides theoretical support developing effective intervention measures alleviate negative impact mental health.

Abstract Background The relationship between emotional symptoms and cognitive impairments in major depressive disorder (MDD) is key to understanding dysfunction optimizing recovery strategies. This study investigates the subjective objective functions MDD evaluates their contributions social functioning recovery. Methods Prospective Cohort Study of Depression China (PROUD) involved 1,376 patients, who underwent 8 weeks antidepressant monotherapy with assessments at baseline, week 8, 52. Measures included Hamilton Rating Scale (HAMD-17), Quick Inventory Depressive Symptomatology-Self Report (QIDS-SR16), Chinese Brief Cognitive Test (C-BCT), Perceived Deficits Questionnaire for Depression-5 (PDQ-D5), Sheehan Disability (SDS). Cross-lagged panel modeling (CLPM) was used analyze temporal relationships. Results measures demonstrated significant improvement over ( p < 0.001). Baseline predicted (HAMD-17: β = 0.190, 95% CI: 0.108–0.271; QIDS-SR16: 0.217, 0.126–0.308). Meanwhile, baseline (QIDS-SR16) also subsequent (β 0.090, 0.003-0.177). Recovery driven by improvements 0.384, 0.0001) cognition 0.551, 0.0001), contributing more substantially (R 2 0.196 vs. 0.075). Conclusions Subjective strongly associated plays a role recovery, highlighting need targeted interventions addressing deficits MDD.

Increased aggression due to gaming addiction is a widespread and highly publicized problem. The underlying processes by which verbal aggression, more harmful persistent subcategory of affected may differ from other types aggression. In this study, data came 252 randomly recruited current university students (50.79% male, mean age 19.60 years, SD: 1.44 range 17 29 years). Participants reported different through questionnaires. addition, two important explanatory processes, inhibitory control, risk preference, were measured behavioral experiments. A Bayesian hierarchical drift-diffusion model was employed interpret the preference task. contrast previous work, study found that control did not significantly correlate with either or any form However, drift rate, measure decision-making inclination under risk, partially mediates relationship between (but forms aggression). findings illuminate adverse conditions as key predictor offering avenues for early intervention suggesting game design modifications mitigate adjusting reward mechanisms.
