REBCO coated conductors have a multi-layer structure, and the outer encapsulation layer is generally made of non-magnetic copper material. This paper proposes new structure tape, which replaces with magnetic material to explore its transport loss magnetization loss. The results indicate that copper-encapsulated tapes lower losses at low currents, while encapsulated strong nickel alloy materials highest losses. At high different are almost equal. fields, tape lower, highest, due shielding effect Under high-field conditions, difference in between material-encapsulated decreases.
