Plastic waste has started to be incorporated within construction systems with potential benefits including improved sustainability, decreased costs, lighter units and enhanced thermal performance. However, the addition of plastics an unknown impact on fire response associated behaviour recycled products. Hence, this work seeks answer question: does incorporation plastic in masonry influence risk? This study investigates effect using RESIN8 eco-aggregate bricks, aggregate based processed plastic. is done by exposing concrete bricks containing 0%, 5%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% 50% volume a heat flux 30 kW/m2 for hour. The replacement content samples influenced both smoke production mass loss rates, high volumes observed highest RESIN8. capacity brick was also found drop up 34.7% original compressive strength. It shown that low rates (e.g. 5 10%) are unlikely affect risk significantly, but higher may concern due release rates.

Since last few years the world is facing tremendous surge in use of surgical masks due to COVID19 pandemic. The uncontrolled disposal environment will pose serious threat living organisms plastic pollution. On other hand, construction industry hugely dependent on natural resources, leading increase carbon footprint. Therefore, it necessary investigate novel materials with sustainability perspective. In present study, alkali-activated bricks were synthesized rice husk ash (RHA), ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS), sand, and sodium silicate (SS). To this, processed (PSM) added varying doses 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% by volume mix. results revealed that addition PSM significantly improved strength properties a maximum compressive 6.85 MPa at inclusion PSM.
