Abstract Due to the high load and heat transfer capacity, porous honeycomb sandwich structures are widely in engineering. However, functional requirements, mass should be realized which results perforated holes being applied structures. The shape of plays a crucial role further improving load-bearing flow-resistance performance structure. In this study, influence hole on flow resistance, permeability, mechanical properties systematically studied. Five different shapes with same area considered, maximum Mises stress structure under five conditions calculated. show that does have significant structure, especially, it is especially found circular has lowest resistance rectangular highest capacity.
