This study aims at improving the desalination process of hemispherical solar still (HSS). A modified HSS (MHSS) design was developed, incorporating a 35 cm radius absorber to heighten vaporization area and sun exposure. The influence various factors on MHSS performance evaluated: wick material (jute cloth vs. cotton wick), rear reflectors for concentrated radiation, fan integration enhanced heat transfer, phase change (PCM) with silver nanoparticles (Ag) positioned beneath liner. itself achieved 96 % gain in productivity over HSS. Jute proved be more effective than cotton. equipped external exhibited significant 120 improvement productivity. Furthermore, within resulted 172 increase (11150 mL/m2⋅day compared 4100 HSS). Besides, enhancement (152 %) observed both PCM-Ag composite, yielding total daily freshwater production 10500 mL 4150 These findings suggest that optimized features, particularly use offers promising approach significantly improve performance.
