The bursa of Fabricius (BF) plays crucial roles in the goslings’ immune system. During waterfowl breeding, presence lipopolysaccharides (LPSs) environment can induce inflammatory damage geese. Polysaccharides Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMKs), as main active component Chinese medicine macrocephala, have significant immune-enhancing effects. Accordingly, this study intended to investigate effect PAMKs on LPS-induced BF injury goslings. Two hundred 1-day-old goslings (half male and half female) were selected randomly divided into control, PAMK, LPS, PAMK + LPS groups. control groups fed basal diet, diet containing at 400 mg/kg. injected intraperitoneally with a concentration 2 mg/kg days 24, 26, 28 study. equal amounts saline. On 28th day, 1 h after injection, serum collected analyzed for organ indices, cytokines, antioxidant indicators, histological observations. Histological examination HE staining demonstrated that treatment ameliorated atrophy, structural damage, increased cellular exudation, reticulocyte hyperplasia cytokine marker analyses cells mitigated increase interleukin-1β (IL-1β), malondialdehyde (MDA), inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) levels, well decrease transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities. Further transcriptome sequencing identified total 373 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between KEGG enrichment pathway analysis showed DEGs significantly enriched Toll-like receptor, p53, MAPK, GnRH, ErbB signaling pathways.
