Photovoltaic (PV) module soiling, i.e., the accumulation of soil deposits on surface a PV module, directly affects amount solar energy received by cells in that and can also give rise to additional heating, leading significant power generation losses. In this work, we present results from an extensive outdoor experimental testing campaign apply detailed characterisation techniques, consider resulting Soil sixty low-iron glass coupons was collected at various tilt angles over study period 12 months capture monthly, seasonal annual variations. Transmittance measurements showed horizontal experienced highest degree soiling. The wet-season, dry-season full-year samples relative transmittance decrease 65 %, 68 64 respectively, which corresponds predicted 67 70 66 % electrical generation. An analysis soiling matter using X-ray diffractometer scanning electron microscope presence particulate with diameters <10 μm (PM10), most prevalent studied region.

Seawater desalination is consistently gaining research interest, as water scarcity looms globally. Multieffect distillation with thermal vapor compression (MED-TVC) has emerged a promising solution to the freshwater problem. In this contribution, we put forward way gain physical insights into various feeding patterns of MED-TVC and identify suitable pattern treat saline effectively. For this, dynamic model for parallel cross feed (PCF) first formulated then validated it data sets two different plants showing excellent matching. This further extended multiobjective genetic algorithm-based optimization by framing four conflicting objectives in aspects performance ratio (PR), second law efficiency (ηII), production cost (FWPC), CO2 emission. With formulate technique order preference similarity ideal (TOPSIS) embedded nondominated sorting algorithm-II (NSGA-II). A systematic comparison presented between optimal three patterns, namely, forward, parallel, operating under configurations. The relative merits demerits each are discussed, among them, PCF comes out front-runner minimum (FWPC) emission level maximum thermodynamic efficiency. study provides clear picture based on stated properly guides choose methodology seawater MED-TVC.
