Nanocomposite membranes are being considered as potential options for sustainable water desalination. These offer advantages such enhanced permeability, improved salt rejection efficiency, and increased resistance to fouling. This study explores the utilization of environmentally friendly materials in production nanocomposite membranes, with aim improving both sustainability performance. The synthesis key findings is achieved through a systematic literature review data analysis. which include green biopolymers natural nanoparticles, exhibit permeability. evidenced by permeability values ranging from 90 110 L/m^2·h·bar. Moreover, that utilize have shown remarkable enhancement achieving rates high 96% 100%. fouling also improved, 6 10 kPa. advancements can be credited favorable characteristics materials, their biocompatibility, biodegradability, minimal impact on environment. results highlight promise field desalination, line increasing focus environmental accountability technological advancements. Further research should prioritize improvement membrane compositions, fabrication methods, performance metrics enhance efficiency desalination applications. will help address global challenges responsible manner.
