Wastewater treatment using biotechnological approaches provides environmentally friendly ways of treating industrial effluents for pollution control and resource realization. The capability microbial consortia, enzymatic machinery genetically modified microorganisms to metabolize high molecular weight compounds including heavy metals, synthetic chemicals toxic organic substrates outlines this approach. However, there are issues with the concept being implemented such as operation problems, problems scalability, question exactly how species environment. new technologies include metagenomics, biology, hybrid systems bio physical that generally improve efficacy pollutant removal.

Research on tribocatalysis, which involves the triboelectric effect, is based concept that friction between dissimilar materials can generate charges capable of initiating catalytic reactions. This phenomenon holds significant potential for degradation wastewater contaminants in environment. In this study, pure and Ce-modified (2 mol%) ZnO powders were investigated as tribocatalysts doxycycline (DC), a tetracycline antibiotic, absence light. The research demonstrates catalyst, beaker, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) magnetic rod induces charge transfer at their interfaces, leading to breakdown pollutants. Additionally, was observed three different stirring speeds (100, 300, 500 rpm). results confirmed tribocatalytic showing DC increases with higher speeds. Using ZnO/Ce powders, maximum degradations 80% 55%, respectively, achieved 24 h speed rpm. findings study suggest these samples effectively degrade water through application mechanical energy.
