Abstract The efficient conversion of copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) to oxide (CuO) is significant importance for applications in catalysis and antibacterial activity. While green synthesis methods CuO (CuONPs) have gained widespread attention, inconsistencies X-ray diffraction (XRD) profiles across studies suggest variations the final product's structural properties. This study conducts a comprehensive literature review 125 published articles compare XRD NPs produced via chemical synthesis. Specifically, we investigate impact thermal annealing on optical properties CuONPs. Our findings reveal that at optimal temperatures facilitates formation homogeneous crystalline structure, characterized by distinct profile featuring two prominent peaks with 'rugby goal-like' shape. characteristic pattern consistently observed both chemically green-synthesized NPs. However, absence annealing, CuONPs exhibit an atypical profile, significantly differing from annealed samples. These results underscore critical role treatment optimizing highlight need further research into nature products without annealing.
