The transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry is supported by smart green manufacturing, which have great potential to empower the nation's development. This study examines impact Made in China 2025 industrial policy on urban economic growth. applies super-slacks-based measure model cities' growth, using double machine learning model, overcomes limitations linear setting traditional causal inference models maintains estimation accuracy under high-dimensional control variables, conduct an empirical analysis based panel data 281 Chinese cities from 2006 2021. results reveal that strategy significantly drives this finding holds after a series robustness tests. A mechanism indicates promotes growth through technology progress, optimizing energy consumption structure, strengthening environmental supervision. In addition, has stronger driving effect for with high concentration, intelligence, digital finance provides valuable theoretical insights implications government planning promote high-quality development policy.

Economic sanctions have the potential to affect environmental factors through various channels, including income reduction and constraints on accessing finance environmentally friendly technologies. This study aims simulate energy consequences resulting from international in Iran. To achieve this, we develop a System Dynamics model integrating spectrum of variables spanning economic, social, dimensions, for period 2008 2028. Our simulation outcomes indicate that by 2028, are anticipated precipitate notable upsurge CO2 emissions, ranging 12.5% 30% compared baseline scenario. The magnitude this escalation hinges variety factors, intensity scenarios related economic growth. According our findings, prolonging could be major barrier improving lowering emissions. Given sanctions, communities, particularly sanctioning countries, should consider impacts their policy-making decisions order reduce emissions damage.
