Digital village construction is not only a vital component of the digital China strategy but also crucial measure by which to realize common prosperity. This study theoretically elaborates influence on urban–rural income gap (URIG) and its mechanism empirically tests it using panel fixed-effect model, mediating-effect moderating-effect model based provincial data major producing areas from 2011 2020. The results show that can significantly narrow URIG, rural industry revitalization channel for in driving decline URIG. transportation infrastructure enhance inhibition effect Moreover, there human capital threshold impact URIG; after crossing threshold, better suppresses So, government should increase financial support technical construction, improving production conditions industrial development environment establishing talent cultivation so as achieve goal
