In order to address the climate change crisis, China has actively promoted low-carbon urban development. implemented a policy known as city pilot (LCCPP). Given enterprise life cycle theory, multi-period DID model is employed investigate influence of LCCPP on enterprise’s green technology innovation (GTI). The research reveals that can actually promote GTI. significantly stimulates GTI enterprises in growth phase, but not for maturity and recession phases. Green total factor productivity (GTFP) is a key for achieving sustainable development and enhancing economic competitiveness. Environmental information disclosure plays significant role in improving the corporate GTFP. Using A-share-listed company data China from 2009 to 2019, this study employs Ambient Air Quality Standards (GB3095-2012) promulgated by 2012 as quasi-natural experiment.
