This article examined the influence of energy-consuming rights trading system (ERS) on environmental inequality, discussed mechanism through lenses industrial structure upgrading and green technology innovation, analyzed possible spatial spillover effect ERS with panel data at provincial level in China from 2003 to 2021. The results indicate that can significantly control inequality by advancing upgrades fostering innovation. controlling is more obvious regions serious old base also greater than non-old base.
