Ammonia (NH3) is a common air pollutant, which poses serious threat to farm animals. L-selenomethionine organic selenium (Se), can inhibit intracellular ROS generation, block ROS-dependent autophagy, promote mitochondrial energy metabolism, and enhance the body's immunity. Lung, as an important organ of respiratory system, highly susceptible toxic effects NH3. However, there were few studies on mechanism NH3 lung tissues. The aim this study was investigate effect lungs in pigs alleviating L-selenomethionine. Twenty-four Large White*Duroc*Min randomly assigned 4 groups: control group, Se +Se group. results showed that exposure caused damage inflammation tissues significantly increased blood concentration. induced changes oxidative stress indexes (GSH, GSH-Px, SOD, MDA, Keap1, Nrf2, HO-1) expressions metabolism related genes (HK1, HK2, PFK, PK, LDHA, HIF-1α). Ultrastructure autophagosome significantly, expression levels autophagy (Beclin1, ATG5, ATG7, ATG10, p62) changed. addition alleviated above changes, but still significant difference compared with group (P < 0.05). This finding provide new evidence for mitigation toxicity.

Kashin-Beck disease (KBD) is an endemic, environmentally associated cartilage disease. Previous studies have shown that the environmental suspected pathogenic factors of KBD, T-2 toxin and low selenium, are involved in regulation inflammation, oxidative stress autophagy some tissues organs. In diseases, level cellular determines fate chondrocytes. However, whether KBD lesions, role selenium toxins injury still unclear. This work took classical AMPK/mTOR/ULK1 regulatory pathway as entry point to clarify relationship between chondrocyte autophagy. Transmission electron microscopy was used observe chondrocytes patients. qRT-PCR western blot were analyze expression markers. The rat model established by toxin, detected after 4- 12-week interventions. Chondrocyte found down-regulated. model, showed up-regulated trend when treated for a short time or concentration, increased. long at high concentrations, down-regulated trend, reduced even defective. conclusion, process lesion, may increase early stage, decrease late stage with progression lesion. Low affect pathway.

Pathological cardiac hypertrophy, a common feature in various cardiovascular diseases, can be more effectively managed through combination therapies using natural compounds. Harmine, β-carboline alkaloid found plants, possesses numerous pharmacological functions, including alleviating hypertrophy. Similarly, Selenomethionine (SE), primary organic selenium source, has been shown to mitigate autophagy and alleviate injury. To explores the therapeutic potential of combining Harmine with SE treat The synergistic effects harmine against hypertrophy were assessed vitro angiotensin II (AngII)-induced vivo Myh6
