Glycoalkaloids (GAs) are produced naturally by plants and affect insect survivability fertility. These compounds can be considered potential bioinsecticides; however, the mechanisms of their action remain undiscovered. As lipids essential molecules for proper functioning an organism, research aimed to determine effects GAs on lipid metabolism Tenebrio molitor beetle. Solanine, chaconine, tomatine tomato leaf extract were injected larvae injection at two concentrations, 10-8 10-5 M. Then, tissue was isolated after 2 24 hours level free fatty acids, sterols esters using GC-MS technique. Moreover, triacylglyceride activity key β-oxidation enzyme, 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase (HADH), measured. The results indicate that content composition in beetles' haemolymph fat body. depend incubation time, kind tissue. tested decrease HADH activity, especially body, which may energy production. To our knowledge, this is first study concerning T. application. Results provide important insights into action, suggesting they disturb insects; thus, findings reported here shed new light them as bioinsecticides.

This study analyzed the antifungal potential of 16 bacterial strains isolated from mangrove sediment. Bacterial selection was conducted in a solid medium. followed by production and extraction metabolites using ethyl acetate to evaluate chitinase production, activity, toxicity toward Allium cepa Tenebrio molitor. B8, B11, B13 produced largest inhibition halos (>30 mm) Fusarium solani, oxysporum, Rhizoctonia solani fungi. Strains B1, B3, B6, B13, B14, B16 chitinases. In assays liquid media, B8 halos. Exposing fungal inocula metabolic extracts B15, caused micromorphological alterations inocula, culminating R. sporulation spore germination. Toxicity tests molitor revealed that showed low toxicity. Six were molecularly identified species levels, further two genus level. These included Serratia marcescens (B8), which exhibited activity all tests. Mangroves provide useful resource for isolation microorganisms biocontrol. Among isolates, Bacillus spp. greatest produce use as biocontrol agents agriculture.

Abstract Monolepta signata, hieroglyphica, and quadriguttata are highly destructive agricultural pests in East Southeast Asia, causing considerable economic losses by damaging a variety of crops China, including soybeans, corn, cotton, rice, vegetables. Despite numerous studies to prevent control their spread, these continue pose severe issue demanding attention. This review focuses on the latest research concerning biology, hosts, prevention beetles. We also explore biotic abiotic factors influencing population dynamics pests. While insecticides commonly employed manage beetles, options for suppressing adult beetles grubs limited. ongoing regulatory efforts, remain significant threat several crops, cotton corn. Researching pests’ interactions with predators, parasitoids, host plants ecosystem can provide valuable insights into ecological roles potential methods.

As the most numerous group of animals on Earth, insects are found in almost every ecosystem. Their useful role environment is priceless; however, for humans, their presence may be considered negative or even harmful. For years, people have been trying to control number pests by using synthetic insecticides, which eventually causes an increased level resistance applied compounds. The effects insecticides encouraged researchers search alternatives and thus develop safe compounds with high specificity. Using knowledge about physiology functionality insect origin, a new class bioinsecticides called peptidomimetics, appropriately modified analogues, was created. One promising compound that might successfully thirteen amino acid peptide alloferon (HGVSGHGQHGVHG), obtained from hemolymph blue blowfly Calliphora vicinia. Our research aimed understand physiological properties activity its will provide possibility analogues pharmaceutical industry, as drug adjuvant, agriculture bioinsecticide. We used three conjugates native unsaturated fatty acids various chain lengths: caprylic, myristic, palmitic. tested morphology reproductive system embryogenesis Tenebrio molitor beetle. influenced growth maturation ovaries expression vitellogenin gene. also process egg laying, embryogenesis, offspring hatching, showing good synthesis effective biopharmaceuticals.
