Multidrug-resistant bacteria and multi-resistance genes in sludge have become a serious issue for public health. It is imperative to develop feasible environmentally friendly methods of composting alleviate multidrug resistance genes. Plant-derived essential oil an effective natural eco-friendly antibacterial, which has great utilization inhibiting pathogens the agricultural industry. Nevertheless, application plant-derived control pathogenic antibiotic not been reported. This study conducted system by adding i.e., oregano (OEO), composting. The findings indicated that priority (critical, high, medium categories) were reduced (17.0 ± 2.2)% (26.5 3.0)% addition OEO (OH treatment) compared control. Besides, OH treatment changed bacterial community enhanced gene sequences related carbohydrate metabolism compost microorganisms. Mantel test variation partitioning analysis revealed target virulence factors (VFs), mobile genetic elements (MGEs), most important affecting could significantly inhibit VFs, MGEs, pathogens, helpful suppression elimination These provide new insights into regulation during novel way diminish environmental risk resistance.
