This
open
letter
discusses
the
importance
of
riparian
vegetation
and
misconceptions
surrounding
its
management.
It
highlights
essential
ecosystem
services
provided
by
zones,
such
as
flood
regulation,
sediment
control,
shading,
microclimate
habitat
diversity.
Despite
these
benefits,
public
misunderstanding
often
leads
to
harmful
policies
like
clear-cutting
channelization.
In
this
brief
communication,
we
emphasize
role
citizen
science
in
addressing
perception
involving
local
communities
environmental
surveys,
providing
examples
a
novel
approach
monitor
manage
forests.
This
newly
developed
process
involves
volunteer
training,
data
collection
using
smartphone
app,
analysis,
dissemination
results.
The
collected
is
validated
experts
used
inform
decision-making.
hands-on
engagement
helps
replace
anecdotal
beliefs
with
evidence-based
understanding,

mina,

urbano).
estadístico
fue
desarrollado
con
software
PAST
4.0,
aplicando,
ANOVA
significancia
95%
(p
<
0.05).
obtuvo
un
total
2
279
individuos
(9
órdenes
26
géneros),
predominando
orden
Ephemeroptera
género
Baetodes.
Para
índice
biótico
BMWP-CR
respecto
suelos
analizados
(mala)
(muy
mala).
QBR
mostró
que
urbano
pastizal
(pésima
calidad),
esto
referido
presencia
asentamiento
