The impact of urban traffic on human health is significant. This research conducts field measurements in Guangzhou, China, focusing a building situated near subgrade roads and viaducts to investigate the characteristics airborne structure-borne noise generated by these infrastructures. analysis involves use both sound pressure level overall level, as well an examination transfer function between outdoor indoor levels. findings indicate that traffic-related demonstrates characteristic frequency at 1000 Hz this scenario, while viaduct- building-generated predominantly distributed lower frequencies. Additionally, it worth noting structural vibrations generate significantly less energy compared sources. variation road across different floors over entire range initial increase followed decrease with rising floor height due air damping effects barriers’ attenuation properties. These results enhance engineers’ understanding traffic-induced or establishing foundational data for designing layouts integrating buildings roads.
