Rapid and precise positioning of apples, along with intelligent detection, play a pivotal role in the process picking apples. Nevertheless, existing crop detection methods that rely on deep learning sometimes require substantial computational resources memory, consequently limiting their feasibility for mobile device implementation. This study presents lightweight algorithm technique detecting apple targets to address problem insufficient storage space restricted capacity apple-picking devices. The method offers two distinct schemes based different computing resources. procedure consists primary phases. In first stage process, Feature Pyramid Network (LFPN) replaces original trunk, followed by utilization down-sampling convolution (LDConv) substitute redundant convolutions trunk reduce number parameters. Then, Lightweight multi-channel attention mechanism (LMCA) is embed between backbone network neck minimize effects unnecessary background. Finally, model distilled time using mixed distillation enhance model's performance further. second lightweight, Group_slim channel pruning used channels Subsequently, hybrid employed again restore accuracy model. results show average precision (AP) presented this 1% higher than baseline model, given parameter count only about 800k. models both can achieve an inference speed over 17 frames per central processing unit(CPU).
