The threat of anthropogenic carbon emissions and the consequent climate risk at global level has led to a noticeable surge in academic research area. However, literature primarily witnessed mushrooming growth with limited attempts systematize or synthesize mass evidence running multiple directions. Such fragmented accumulation insights can lead confusion potential neglect crucial discussions. Our study addresses this deficit consolidated area by focusing on neutrality (CN), which embodies response for mitigating serious consequences harmful emissions. To end, we used popular approach systematic review (SLR) identify congruent evaluate it critically delineate facilitating inhibiting factors. Given vastness extant literature, our five sectors: manufacturing, energy, transport, agriculture, construction (METAC) since these are known be among highest contributors We rigorous search filtration protocol shortlist 153 relevant studies. Mapping facilitators inhibitors helped us uncover under-explored aspects suggest questions future investigations. At same time, identification stimulating forces impeding hurdles highlight areas requiring policy attention managerial action support achievement CN targets.

In addition to creating economic value, crops also serve important ecological functions. Especially their carbon sink function, which plays a key role in mitigating climate change. this study, the LMDI and Tapio model were innovatively combined quantitatively evaluate emissions sinks Yellow River basin (YRB). It shows that average annual growth rate of YRB was −0.1344% during 2002–2020. Carbon show negative trend due transformation upgrading agriculture from traditional modern implementation policies related China’s agricultural benefits. Agricultural production efficiency is major factor inhibiting emissions, reducing by an approximately 8.07 million tons per year. High-carbon emission high-sink areas are mainly concentrated southeast YRB, where livestock poultry farming principal source with rice, wheat, corn being contributors sink. Moreover, there significant differences capacity YRB. Optimizing crop selection area distribution can enhance different regions, contributing more effective control. This study combines sequestration crops, providing data support theoretical basis for policy formulation planning low-carbon China. great significance promoting sustainable development

Exploring the coupling coordinated development of carbon emission reduction and sequestration (CERS) food security in agriculture is conducive to mitigating climate change achieving sustainable goals. However, there little research on these two systems. Based panel data 31 Chinese provinces from 2001 2021, this study used dynamic fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) method analyze levels driving paths between agricultural CERS security. The results revealed that (1) coordination degree increased 0.443 0.489 showing an upward trend. (2) We identified three development: technology-driven, finance-driven urban-development-driven. (3) grain sown area unit yield are core variables, serving as fundamental pillars, their combination with technology or financial expenditure enhances development. Notably, exhibit a complementary relationship, while demonstrate substitution relationship. (4) Temporal showed consistent trend technology-driven paths. Regional marked heterogeneity: technology-finance synergy path predominates remote west, lies mountainous southwest, clusters north, urban-development-driven located economically advanced regions. Policymakers should formulate policies according different promote
