Abstract Currently, mining is one of the largest organized human activities that change land use patterns and damage terrestrial ecosystems, resulting in many ecological environmental problems. To address these issues, it crucial to restore original balance area. This requires us attach great importance improvement ecosystem service functions while promoting physical restoration areas, is, deeply explore enhance value products. relevant research insufficient quantifying intangible products; moreover, lacking standardization evaluation methods marketization mechanisms. Therefore, this study aims develop scientific accounting discuss realization focused on rehabilitated Pingshuo area Shanxi Province China, improves connotation concept products areas. In study, replacement market method was used various services provided by ecosystem. The conducted a spatiotemporal dynamic using Mann-Kendall non-parametric test. Moreover, application results environment construction evaluated, mechanism for realizing areas explored. From 2000 2019, rose from ¥351.03 million ¥508.56 million, exceeding local GDP. Water retention (WR) climate regulation (CR) were most prominent contributors, overall consistently demonstrated growth trend. Sustainability has become an indispensable core consideration when nations formulate their development policies. This study delves into the dynamic correlations between ecosystem services (ESs) and localized Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a typical hilly region southern China. Various ESs were computed using InVEST model, while spatial econometric models employed to assess ES responses SDG targets at county, sectoral, overall levels. The findings revealed following. (1) From 2005 2020, there differences rates of various Ganzhou. Except for 15, which declined, other showed increasing trend. was relatively balanced, but 9 7 had highest growth rates, ranging from 9.4% 10.7% 10.3%, respectively. comprehensive assessment index exhibited significant spatiotemporal variation, with general trend higher values north lower south. (2) local delayed response 1 2, positive 3, 4, 6, 8, 9. However, 7, 11, 13, 15 regional differences. not only provides valuable insights sustainable Ganzhou regions China also offers Chinese perspectives experiences that may inform global efforts towards implementation. fills gap existing research by constructing indicator system quantifying each indicator, further exploring region. Looking ahead, we anticipate deepen understanding relationship on broader geographical scale over longer timeframes, aiming provide more robust scientific foundation building harmonious coexistence humans nature future.

With the increase in human activities and acceleration of urbanization, over-exploitation natural resources has led to a decline ecosystem services (ESs), subsequently affecting achievement sustainable development goals (SDGs). As key ecological zone Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, stability enhancement ESs Hehuang Valley are crucial for achieving SDGs biodiversity conservation. This study quantifies nine last twenty years. Four models were utilized compute ESs: net primary productivity (NPP), water yield, soil retention, sand fixation. Panel data analyzed using coupling coordination model quantify relationship between level (SDL) each county. Additionally, Geographically Temporally Weighted Regression (GTWR) was employed examine correlation SDL. The results indicate following: (1) During period, NPP yield first increased then decreased. capacity retention fixation showed an overall increase, highlighting substantial variability among counties their ability deliver these ESs. (2) SDL increased, with Xining City showing slightly higher than other counties. (3) degree NPP, fixation, exhibited upward trend demonstrated highest followed by (4) Most lag relative In early stage, primarily lagging SDL, while late stages, lagged behind (5) there increasing negative observed four positive contribution some gradually shifted effect, effect on intensified. impact function hindered local offers scientific theoretical backing practical recommendations promoting conservation Valley.

Assessing the sustainable development level of Qinghai–Tibet Plateau (QTP) is great significance for China’s development. With rich natural resources, a fragile ecological environment, and relatively low economic development, QTP typical regions in China where conflict between socio-economic environmental protection prominent. However, there lack assessment spatiotemporal progress achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on QTP. To address this gap knowledge, cluster analysis was used to quantitatively assess changes SDG indicators levels different counties from 2000 2020. The results show that increasing; growth rate 2010–2020 three times 2000–2010. eastern region significantly higher than western region. while high, social remain low. Certain factors, including precipitation, slope, population density, cultivated area, are strongly positively correlated with findings our study can serve as valuable reference other jurisdictions seeking evaluate their evolution towards SDGs.

Grassland degradation poses a significant challenge to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau (QTP). Effective monitoring of grassland is essential for ecological restoration. Hyperspectral technology offers efficient and accurate identification degradation. However, influence observation time, data analysis methods classification techniques accuracy identifying alpine grasslands remains unclear. In this study, spectral reflectance degraded meadow, shrub Tibetan barley was measured from May September 2023 using ground spectrometer in northeastern QTP. First-order derivatives (FDR) continuum removal were applied spectra, characteristic parameters vegetation indices calculated. Support vector machine (SVM), random forest (RF), artificial neural network (ANN) decision tree (DT) then used compare between different months, transformation parameters. The results showed that peaked July, with differences near infrared (NIR) bands meadow meadow. Alpine greater compared other types, especially NIR bands. Data transformations improved absorption characteristics visible Indices such as DVI, RVI NDGI effectively differentiated types. Optimal July achieved FDR ANN or SVM classification. This study provides methodological insights
