Constructing ecological security patterns (ESP) effectively maintains ecosystems' green, healthy, and sustainable development. The InVEST model Conefor software were utilized in this study to pinpoint sources (eco-sources) through a blend of landscape connectivity the importance ecosystem services (IES); resistance surface was constructed by synthesizing gravity minimum cumulative (MCRM), extracted corridors (eco-corridors) nodes. Ultimately, research built ESP for Xinjiang. findings showed that: (1) 14 eco-sources identified Xinjiang, spanning an area 2.13 × 105 km2; 32 eco-corridors extracted, including 9 important 23 general eco-corridors, comprising total length 1.26 104 km; 46 nodes(eco-nodes); (2) size more patches Xinjiang 2.82 km2, which accounted relatively small size, value generally average. overall level primary high, but spatial distribution uneven; (3) values vary significantly, with high-level surfaces primarily located Junggar Basin Tarim low-level covering most Xinjiang's natural reserves other areas. study's can provide some references constructing at provincial scale arid semiarid regions planning restoration

Constructing an ecological security pattern (ESP) is effective measure to ensure environmental safety and urban development. With the establishment of national civilization construction demonstration zone in China, higher requirements are put forward for biodiversity conservation. Previous studies have focused on identification ESPs, while few optimized ESPs based endangered species protection.
