When focusing on biodiversity maintenance, ecological security pattern (ESP) planning gradually becomes a multi-objective strategy for sustainable development; wildlife conservation and ecosystem health maintenance should be balanced with local economic development people’s livelihood enhancement goals. This study focuses ESP mapping in the Qinling-Daba Mountain area, which is an ecologically significant socioeconomically underdeveloped area. The tradeoff between made by varying area of sources incorporating service tradeoffs into source identification through multi-scenario designation. ESPs under six scenarios were generated based minimum resistance model, important corridors strategic points each scenario identified compared. results show following: (1) that sets around 30 percent as maintains integrity natural ecosystems leaves space food material supply to residents. (2) In this scenario, are connected 60 cross 137 townships high population densities (>100 people/km2) intersect major traffic lines at 71 points. Building an ecological security pattern (ESP) can safeguard and improve the structure, functions services of regional ecosystems. Furthermore, it is also one significant spatial methods to mitigate conflict between conservation economic growth. Most previous researches on construction ESP have directly utilized extensive regions forestland, grassland, water area or nature reserves as sources (ESs) without weighing habitat quality (HQ) protection red line (EPRL). The ES Dawen River basin (DRB) was identified through morphological analysis (MSPA) landscape connectivity index. By employing minimum cumulative resistance model (MCR), potential corridor (EC) identified, its importance evaluated by gravity model. Simultaneously, properties HQ (ER) were analyzed. Finally, this paper proposed optimization strategy for in accordance with EPRL. results indicate that: (1) DRB contained 15 important ESs, mainly concentrated mountain forest areas. (2) 105 ECs extracted MCR model, including 35 level 1 corridors 70 2 corridors, which primarily eastern region basin. (3) Based characteristics ER, well EPRL research, "one axis, two belts five zones" constructed control strategies proposed. This research offers some reference environment restoration sustainable development Yellow

Ecological security pattern (ESP) represents a sound spatial arrangement of ecosystem occurring in landscape. The research on the optimization ESP aims to improve and restore functions by rationally allocating optimizing ecological elements based key issues. Constructing can enhance connectivity regional habitat patches, which is great significance for protecting restoring biodiversity, improving stability resilience, achieving sustainable development. However, it challenging task systematically resilience networks under attacks. Little has been done enhancing edge-based Based morphological analysis (MSPA), minimum cumulative resistance (MCR) greedy algorithm (GA) models, this study presents new method construct optimize ESP. Dongting Lake Basin China, typical region with rich complex landscape patterns, intensive human activities, taken as an example. results indicate that network improved its 51.62%, robustness against random attacks 41.13%, targeted 43.41%, relative initial network. The Yellow River Delta (YRD), a critical economic zone along China's eastern coast, also functions as vital ecological reserve in the lower River. Amidst rapid industrialization and urbanization, region has witnessed significant land use/cover changes (LUCC), impacting ecosystem services (ES) security patterns (ESP). Investigating LUCC's effects on ES ESP YRD is crucial for sustainable development. This study utilized PLUS model to simulate 2030 use scenarios, including natural development (NDS), (EDS), protection scenarios (EPS). Subsequently, InVEST circuit theory were applied assess under varying LUCC from 2010 2030. Findings indicate: (1) Notable 2030, marked by decreasing cropland increasing construction water bodies. (2) From 2020, improvements observed carbon storage, yield, soil retention, habitat quality, whereas 2020–2030 saw increases yield retention but declines quality storage. Among EPS showed superior performance all four ES. (3) Between sources, corridors, pinchpoints expanded, displaying spatial heterogeneity. scenario yielded most substantial pinchpoints, totaling 582.89 km2, 645.03 64.43 respectively. highlights importance of EPS, offering insightful scientific guidance YRD's

As a crucial component of the ecological security pattern, source (ES) plays vital role in providing ecosystem service value (ESV) and conserving biodiversity. Previous studies have mostly considered ES only from either landscape change pattern or function perspectives, ignored their integration spatio-temporal evolutionary modeling. In this study, we proposed multi-perspective framework for characteristics by ESV incorporating aesthetics, carbon sink characteristics, quality, kernel NDVI (kNDVI). By integrating revised normalized difference vegetation index as foundation, employed spatial priority model to identify ES. This improvement aims yield more practical specific result. Applying Three-River Headwaters Region (TRHR), significant sources has been observed 2000 2020. performance provided reference conservation TRHR. The results indicate that identification reliable accuracy efficiency compared with existing NRs method could reveal precise distributions ES, enhancing integrity technical modeling support developing cross-scale planning management strategies nature reserve boundaries. our research serve building networks other ecologically fragile areas.

The construction Natural Protected Area (NPA) system proposed in 2019 latest strategy implemented by China protecting spaces. However, effectiveness this has not been adequately demonstrated. This study specifically analyzes concrete impacts natural protected area on resilience networks (ENs). economically developed Urban Agglomeration around Hangzhou Bay (UAHB) was chosen as an example for argumentation. Firstly, we utilized circuit theory construct EN consisting 173 sources and 401 corridors. Secondly, were categorized into three levels based their connectivity values. Finally, dynamic disturbance scenario simulation framework constructed evaluate impact NPA EN. results indicated that: (1) preceding 47% are crucial maintaining EN; (2) Compared with other spaces, NPAs have 38% 1100% greater effect first second-level sources, respectively, while its third-level 118% lower. innovatively investigates differential hierarchical areas unprotected environment.
