Ecological restoration, as a component of sustainable development, can mitigate ecosystem degradation and improve ecological diversity. Accurate identification restoration priority areas (ERPAs) is essential for developing practice. However, few studies have considered both reference conditions vulnerability during restoration. In this study, comprehensive framework ERPA was developed by integrating vulnerability. Using the Jialing River Basin (JRB), representative basin Yangtze River, case our results revealed that under average climate conditions, with high values were mostly in eastern southeastern mountainous JRB, whereas potential concentrated central northern southern basin. Additionally, regions found urban scattered along major tributaries. Overall, identified ERPAs predominantly areas, some basin, accounting 9.61% JRB. Consequently, JRB be divided into four targeted management strategies to address implement activities. Moreover, we suggest proposed identifying used clarifying objectives, assessing baseline, offering scientific large-scale efforts.

The framework development for large-scale energy construction zoning and the consideration of geographical potential are critical to achieving carbon neutrality goals. However, previous wind power studies have mostly focused on micro-site selection, rarely quantitatively analyzed response relationship between ecosystem from a macroscopic perspective. This study introduced new explainable artificial intelligence ecological suitability prediction framework, which can serve as link mitigation adaptation measures in global climate change. Twenty indicator layers were incorporated, quantitative evaluation method was used generate twenty raster data subsequent models' input layers. results showed that accuracies XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost CNN 93.36%, 96.50%, 97.17% 97.46% respectively. performed consistently across all categories, while more distinctive very unsuitable suitable categories. analysis found sensitivity desertification distance roads contributed most results, influences socio-economic indicators minimal. Applying Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau revealed 71.4% area farm construction, but total high 1.90×106 GW. It is recommended 11.32% areas with should be developed soon possible future after detailed assessment, order achieve nationally determined contributions target slow down warming.

Assessing the value of ecosystem products over time can reflect effectiveness protection and serve as a measurable indicator in national park management. This study focuses on Three-River-Source National Park (TRSNP), located Tibetan Plateau, “Water Tower China”. We developed an accounting system for TRSNP assessed their 2015 2020. Key findings include following. (1) The validation system’s scientific basis with comprehensive framework covering material products, regulating services, cultural services. (2) total increased by 31.19% from to Driven policies such grazing bans restoration grasslands, saw decrease during same period, while services experienced increase. Notably, among associated soil conservation emerged highest. (3) varies across different regions due influences land use types erosion types. Among these, per unit area is highest Lancang River source region, followed Yellow was lowest Yangtze region. (4) Recommendations enhancing agricultural animal husbandry increase overall agro-pastoral income, focusing regions, exploring strategies trading ecological resource rights retention research offers pertinent case product assessment, contributes effect evaluation TRSNP, provides relevant management TRSNP.

Water resource management is crucial for sustainable agricultural and ecological development, particularly in regions with complex land-use patterns sensitive eco-systems. The Bashang region of Zhangjiakou city, located the agro-pastoral ecotone northern China, an ecologically fragile area that currently undergoing significant land use climate changes. Despite importance understanding interplay between use, change, water conservation, few studies have comprehensively evaluated their combined effects on regional resources. This study addresses this gap by investigating spatiotemporal changes yield (WY) conservation capacity (WCC) under different scenarios year 2035. research employs FLUS model to predict future InVEST estimate WY WCC a natural development scenario (NDS), production (APS), protection (EPS), planning (LPS). results reveal primarily influenced precipitation, topography. finds which focus optimization, such as EPS LPS, significantly enhance Notably, LPS scenario, limits urban expansion increases amount land, provides best balance conservation. findings highlight need integrated approaches management, transitional zones. unique contribution lies its comprehensive modeling approach, combines data, analysis, valuable insights strategies.

In this regard, RESV its different zones (core area, fringe peripheral area) were explored Poyang Lake Area, China. The results showed that spatially distribution characteristics area > core while lakes influenced provision services, showing per unit was higher gradually declined with increase distance from lakes, presenting decreasing trend area. From 2000 to 2020, study lost 70.5988 billion CNY for RESV, which most affected.
