Identifying and evaluating the ecological security pattern (ESP) of region can provide a solid foundation for optimizing regional ecosystem elements improving security. The PLUS model, InVEST circuit theory were used to analyze services ESP Shanxi section Yellow River Basin (SYRB) between 2005 2035. findings revealed that 1) total area land use shift across categories 2020 was 6,080.99 km 2 , or 5.22% SYRB’s area. Under natural development scenario, transfer from 2035 predicted be 4,605.10 . Among these, tendency construction forest expanding, while cultivated land, grassland, water area, unused shrinking; 2) From 2035, yield soil conservation all decreased, habitat quality carbon storage showed declining tendency; 3) source increased 35,767.00 in 39,931.00 2035; length corridors expanded 2,792.24 3,553.18 pinch points 27 40 barrier 21 28 which show remained unstable; 4) According service characteristics SYRB 2020, an “one axis, two zones, four corridors, multiple points” constructed. This study could useful guidance spatial maintaining services.

This study evaluates the value of ecological products in Yellow River Basin, China within "Two Mountains" theory framework prioritizing conservation and quality growth. Major basin cities were analyzed to quantify product flows from 2011 2020 using an entropy approach assessing rural dynamics, financing, governance, manufacturing, economic structuring. Entropy valuations datasets 38 municipalities showed aggregated values increased ¥5.73 trillion ¥6.54 2020. Spatial disparities observed with mid-upper regions exhibiting significantly higher than lower basinal areas. The novel valuation methodology provides localized quantification aligned China's sustainability initiatives. multivariate panel regression model shows that while development agricultural fiscal support negatively impact value, environmental regulation advanced industrial structures have a strong positive influence. Furthermore, quantile analysis reveals heterogeneities distribution explanatory variables across different quantiles value. offers comprehensive view various factors dynamics influencing Basin. concludes by emphasizing importance balancing realization growth, particularly coastal These findings provide valuable insights for optimizing advancing protection high-quality

The Yellow River Basin is rich in coal resources, but the ecological environment fragile, and degradation of vegetation exacerbated by disruption caused high-intensity mining activities. Analyzing dynamic evolution Henan section its areas over long term run reveals regional offers a scientific foundation for region’s sustainable development. In this study, we obtained time series Landsat imageries from 1987 to 2023 on Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform utilized geographically weighted regression models, Sen (Theil–Sen median) trend analysis, M-K (Mann–Kendall) test, coefficient variation (CV), Hurst index investigate cover based kNDVI (the normalized difference index). This used explore spatial temporal characteristics future development trend. Our results showed that (1) value exhibited fluctuating upward at rate 0.0509/10a 2023. region aligned closely with overall section; however, annual each area consistently remained lower than displayed degree fluctuation, predominantly characterized medium–high variability, moderate high fluctuations accounting 73.5% total. (2) study significant improvement trends. We detected area; yet, might cause 87% area, which may be related multiple factors such as intensity mine site, anthropogenic disturbances, climate change. (3) status shows positive correlation distance areas, 90.9% total, indicating has strong impact cover. provides basis restoration, green mineral Basin.

Arable land green and low-carbon utilization (ALGLU) is an important pathway to safeguard food safety achieve the transformation progress of agriculture, playing a crucial role in promoting agricultural ecological protection economic sustainability. This study takes Yangtze River Delta region (YRD), where rapid urbanization most typical, as area. On basis fully considering carbon sink function arable land, measures level using Super-slack based measure (Super-SBM) model, analyzes its spatial temporal evolution autocorrelation center gravity, standard ellipsoid then impact with help geographic detector geographically weighted regression model. We analyzed multifactor interaction heterogeneity factors geodetector Results: (1) The ALGLU YRD has shown fluctuating upward tendency, increasing from 0.7307 2012 0.8604 2022, growth rate 17.75%. phased changes correspond national development policies stages socio-economic development. Introduction The implementation of cultivated land quality protection is fundamental for ensuring the sustainable use resources, and it inevitable choice maintaining balance agricultural ecology promoting long-term healthy development agriculture. Methods Based on survey data from 927 grain family farms in 13 major grain-producing areas China, this paper empirically tests effects participation cooperatives behavior by using a logit model, an ordered probit model propensity score matching method. Results results show that has significant positive effect degree farms. A series robustness reveals conclusion study does not change. Heterogeneity analysis probability implementing significantly increased, was greater with younger farmers, farmers lower education level, non-party members, larger scale operation, longer establishment years, labor force, or provincial demonstration. Discussion On basis, we should vigorously support guide to participate cooperatives, give full play advantages effectively encourage implement behavior, promote development.

Vegetation plays a crucial role in terrestrial ecosystems, and the FVC (Fractional Coverage) is key indicator reflecting growth status of vegetation. The accurate quantification dynamics underlying driving factors has become hot topic. However, scale effect on changes received less attention previous studies. In this study, at multiple scales were analyzed to reveal spatial temporal change vegetation Henan section Yellow River basin. Firstly, based pixel dichotomy model, different times was calculated using Landsat-8 data. Then, characteristics simple linear regression CV (Coefficient Variation). Finally, GD (Geographic Detector) used quantitatively analyze scales. results study revealed that (1) showed an upward trend all scales, increasing by average 0.55% yr−1 from 2014 2022. areas with 10.83% more than those decreasing trend. (2) As decreased, explanatory power topography (aspect, elevation, slope) for gradually strengthened, while climate (evapotranspiration, temperature, rainfall) anthropogenic activities (night light) decreased. (3) q value evapotranspiration always highest across peaking notably 1000 m (q = 0.48).

Food security is closely related to the development of human society, and root food production lies in cultivated land, with water conservancy as its lifeline. This study estimates ecological consumption located arid region Northwest China (the Karamay Muzat River basin) from 1990 2020 based on optimized Land Surface Energy Balance Algorithm. The verification accuracy SEBAL energy balance model greatly improved after optimization. It was showed an increasing trend basin, at rates 2.84 mm/year 2.86 respectively. suitability land evaluated by combining four periods 30 m spatial resolution use/land cover data 1990, 2000, 2010, 2020, well Hydrological Statistical Yearbook Xinjiang Yearbook. Through analysis optimization for it can be inferred that primary limiting factors affecting are irrigation guarantee rate (54.03%) soil salinity (11.98%). (32.19%) (18.62%). By comparing scenarios setting priority priority, concluded under conditions resource constraints 50%, 75% 90% design assurance rates, still has expansion potential, which used main preparatory reclamation area.
