The study of urban land use efficiency is great significance for optimizing the spatial allocation land, thereby promoting intensive and transformation economic development modes. Taking Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) as object, we chose undesirable Slacks-Based Measure (SBM) model to calculate (ULUE). Then, utilized correlation analysis econometric methods discuss its spatio-temporal features influential factors. results show following: (1) in YREB steadily improved from 2010 2022, but inter-regional gap evidently increased. (2) There an value be found a multi-center network structure, it forms “core-periphery” distribution pattern. high-efficiency areas downstream upstream regions are gradually increasing, while midstream area remains low. (3) values have strong correlation, they mainly “High-High agglomeration” “Low-Low agglomeration”, significant regional characteristics. (4) level, industrial urbanization obvious motivating effects on ULUE, positive spillover effect clear. foreign direct investment finance hinder boost efficiency, latter has negative role ULUE cities.

The pivotal aspects of enhancing regional ecosystem services and augmenting socioeconomic growth lie in optimizing the land-space development protection strategies, coupled with establishment a robust ecological network (EN). This article examines Poyang Lake area employs MOP model, NSGA-II, PLUS model to determine best sustainable land use strategy. Subsequently, MSPA, InVEST circuit theory, complex network, others are employed construct analyze EN across three time periods. Ultimately, is optimized based on spatial priority, obstacle areas, nodes. results show following: (1) From 2005 2035, more construction will be developed around Greater Nanchang other urban centers. In BAU scenario, expand faster, while cultivated land, forest, grassland, bare continue decline. SD alteration comparable minimal, rate slow, all decline little, water increase slightly; (2) While sources decreased corridors become longer narrower distribution ENs different periods small, quantitative structure essentially unchanged scenario; (3) Based topological ENs, it found that clustering nodes scenario obvious, importance enhanced, efficiency information transmission improved, radiation range wider stable; (4) greatest priority each period concentrated Lake. improves, 7025 km2 restoration identified, 41, 31, 36 breakpoints first, second, third levels. study’s findings can assist shape theoretical practical approaches governance great lake areas.

Constructing coastal ecological security barriers is beneficial for preventing environmental degradation and enhancing resilience to natural disasters. This study examines the functionality of these from an ecosystem service perspective, developing Ecosystem Security Barrier Function (ESBF) index analyze its spatiotemporal variations. From 2000 2020, habitat quality in area experienced a slight decline, while water supply capacity initially increased then decreased. Water purification hit lowest point 2015 before improving. The ESBF generally ranged moderate high levels, with higher values northwest lower southeast, showing strong spatial autocorrelations. Despite mild some areas, overall stability was maintained frequent transitions between levels. Utilizing Multiscale Geographically Weighted Regression (MGWR) model, we conducted grid-scale analysis driving mechanisms behind ESBF. We found that precipitation, elevation, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) positively correlated ESBF, whereas population density, land use, nighttime lights negatively correlated. relationship temperature showed “north-positive, south-negative” pattern. recommends wetland restoration, strengthening protective forest construction, effectively controlling pollutant sources entering sea safeguard improve barrier function.

Rapid urbanization has affected ecosystem stability, and the construction of ecological security patterns (ESPs) can rationally allocate resources achieve protection. Priority evaluation critical areas maximize benefits protection, which is crucial for sustainable urban development. However, most prior studies have focused on assessing individual elements ESP, rarely considering both protection priority sources corridors. We constructed ESPs Wuhan Metropolitan Area (WMA) from 2000 to 2020 evaluated corridors The findings indicated that high-level exhibited higher overall landscape connectivity service values with lower patch fragmentation. average area proportions primary, secondary, tertiary in 2000, 2010, were 41.11%, 23.03%, 29.86%, respectively. High-level had shorter lengths offered comprehensive values. total length secondary exceeded primary by 1951.19 km, 650.39 2238.18 km 2020, Primary corridors, connected fragmented isolated sources, should their land percentage increased enhance connectivity. Secondary two independent distant providing basis intervening area, whose surrounding habitats be protected. This study identifies offers a theoretical practical reference balancing development

Identifying and evaluating the ecological security pattern (ESP) of region can provide a solid foundation for optimizing regional ecosystem elements improving security. The PLUS model, InVEST circuit theory were used to analyze services ESP Shanxi section Yellow River Basin (SYRB) between 2005 2035. findings revealed that 1) total area land use shift across categories 2020 was 6,080.99 km 2 , or 5.22% SYRB’s area. Under natural development scenario, transfer from 2035 predicted be 4,605.10 . Among these, tendency construction forest expanding, while cultivated land, grassland, water area, unused shrinking; 2) From 2035, yield soil conservation all decreased, habitat quality carbon storage showed declining tendency; 3) source increased 35,767.00 in 39,931.00 2035; length corridors expanded 2,792.24 3,553.18 pinch points 27 40 barrier 21 28 which show remained unstable; 4) According service characteristics SYRB 2020, an “one axis, two zones, four corridors, multiple points” constructed. This study could useful guidance spatial maintaining services.
