In the past, during development processes, major ecological and environmental problems have occurred in agro-pastoral ecotone of China, which had a strong impact on regional sustainable development. As such, analyzing evolution ecosystem service value (ESV) predicting futural spatio-temporal under different scenarios will provide scientific basis for further This research analyzed land use cover change (LUCC) from 2000 to 2020, adopted Mark-PLUS model construct (prioritizing grassland development, PDG; prioritizing cropland PCD; business as usual, BAU), simulated future LUCC. The driving factors influencing each type were revealed using PLUS model. Based LUCC data, distribution ESV was calculated via equivalent factor method, including four primary services (supply service, adjustment support cultural service) eleven secondary (water resource supply, maintaining nutrient circulation, raw material production, aesthetic landscape, food purification, soil conservation, biodiversity, gas regulation, climate hydrologic regulation). results showed that total increased first then declined reaching highest CNY 8207.99 million 2005. scenarios, shows trend PGD (CNY 8338.79 million) > BAU 8194.82 PCD 8131.10 million). global Moran index also follows this distribution. Additionally, precipitation (18%), NDVI (16%), DEM (16%) are most important spatial agglomeration characteristics Moran’s local indicators auto-correlation, show high coordination degree between high–high cluster areas water areas. These point out key points next step restoration projects help with achieving goals more effectively.

System-based approaches are critical for addressing the complex and interconnected nature of urban ecological development restoration ecosystem services. This study adopts a system perspective to investigate spatiotemporal drivers key services, including carbon sequestration, water conservation, sediment reduction, pollution mitigation, stormwater regulation, within Yangtze River Delta Eco-Green Integrated Development Demonstration Area (YRDDA) from 2000 2020. We propose novel framework defining enhanced-efficiency service management regions (EESMR) guide targeted restoration. Our analysis revealed interplay 11, 9, 6, 10 driving factors selected highlighting heterogeneity these drivers. By overlaying factors, we identified high-efficiency priority areas EESMR that ensure high returns on investment efficient functions. system-oriented approach provided spatial guidance integrated restoration, green development, eco-planning. These findings offer valuable insights policymakers planners in other rapidly urbanizing regions, supporting formulation effective land-use policies balance environmental sustainability growth.

When focusing on biodiversity maintenance, ecological security pattern (ESP) planning gradually becomes a multi-objective strategy for sustainable development; wildlife conservation and ecosystem health maintenance should be balanced with local economic development people’s livelihood enhancement goals. This study focuses ESP mapping in the Qinling-Daba Mountain area, which is an ecologically significant socioeconomically underdeveloped area. The tradeoff between made by varying area of sources incorporating service tradeoffs into source identification through multi-scenario designation. ESPs under six scenarios were generated based minimum resistance model, important corridors strategic points each scenario identified compared. results show following: (1) that sets around 30 percent as maintains integrity natural ecosystems leaves space food material supply to residents. The exploration of ecological security patterns (ESPs) can help people find those areas that are in urgent need restoration, which is an effective way to realize protection. It utmost significance for promoting regional sustainable development construct ESP and put forward sub-regional optimization suggestions based on the supply demand ratio ecosystem services (ESs). In this paper, we assessed level five ESs multi-source data 2020 with InVEST, ArcGIS, IUEMS. Based results demand, calculated extracted source (ESAs) basis. Then, used Linkage Mapper tool principle minimum cumulative resistance (MCR) model circuit theory Chengdu–Chongqing economic circle (CCEC). Our indicated there were apparent spatial differences ESs. There 35 ESAs network, covering area about 7914 km2, most their land use types woodland. CCEC was interconnected by a network 91 corridors (ECs), spanning total length approximately 10,701 km. From ECs, 29 pinch points (EPPs) 16 barrier (EBPs), each accounted 0.3% planned CCEC. Finally, divided spaces into four corresponding suggestions. Among them, proportion restoration 7.7%, located Chengdu City, northwest study area. findings paper give some theoretical guidance serve as reference making decisions pursuit civilization region.

This study establishes and refines a social-landscape ecological security pattern that integrates the demand supply of ecosystem services, providing substantial foundation for restoration territorial spaces. is crucial enhancing effectiveness “social–ecological” systems in achieving sustainable development. Jilin Province, serving as national buffer experiencing rapid economic growth, exhibits significant spatial imbalance between social progress conservation. The balance service pivotal this context, making Province an ideal area. We employed multifaceted approach, including MSPA, InVEST model, landscape connectivity assessment, circuit theory, network integrity evaluation, to elucidate disparities services. then developed optimized patterns meet human demands safeguard integrity, thereby promoting development systems. key findings are follows: (1) services shows clear gradient, with lower values west higher east, while concentrated central region east west, indicating pronounced mismatch Province. (2) includes 18 barrier points, 33 pinch 166 corridors, 101 sources. (3) social–ecological comprises 119 sources 150 supply–demand corridors. (4) introduces 14 nodes 47 optimization proposing zoning schemes eastern core protection area, western Additionally, recommendations concerning system pattern. research advances theoretical understanding offers insights more harmonized strategies.
