Rapid urbanization and land use changes have brought enormous pressure onto the ecological environment. Constructing security patterns (ESPs) contributes to scientifically utilizing ecosystem functions, maintaining biodiversity, protecting Thus, this study proposed a regional ESP construction framework, which integrated circuit theory with an evaluation system composed of landscape connectivity analysis, service evaluation, sensitivity generate national-level Chang-Zhu-Tan Metropolitan Area (CZTMA). The results showed that (1) there were 22 sources mainly consisting woodlands, grasslands, water bodies distributed heterogeneously from eastern western CZTMA; (2) 48 corridors connected large-scale patches such as rivers, lakes, wetlands, woodlands in CZTMA, average distance east side was shorter, while west longer; (3) 13 pinch nodes 28 barrier identified important nodes. On basis, research constructed multi-level “one center multiple cores, one belt two screens, nodes” for CTZMA, not only guarantees stability ecosystems but also maintains their efficiency providing services resistance human activities. Moreover, series specific recommendations optimization ESPs provided, including protection enhancement habitat quality, improvement corridor connectivity, maintenance nodes, restoration Coordinated mechanisms at provincial level proposed. This could help conservation restoration, strategic planning making nature–human systems cross administrative boundaries.
