Decoding the Role of Urban Green Space Morphology in Shaping Visual Perception: A Park-Based Study

parks,
we
generated
space
maps
high-resolution
satellite
imagery
and
calculated
indicators,

as
quantity,
fragmentation,
connectivity,
shape
complexity.
By
combining
the
Mask2Former
image
segmentation
deep
learning
model
with
a
multi-objective
regression
structural
equation
modeling,
analyzed
relationship
between
preferences,
controlling
for
geographic
demographic
factors.
The
results
showed
that
spaces
tighter
aggregation,
continuity,
complexity
led
to
more
distinct
perceptions.
This
was
mediated
by
proportion
of
landscape
elements.
