Many regions worldwide are exposed to multiple omnipresent hazards occurring in complex interactions. However, multi-hazard assessments not yet fully integrated into current planning tools, particularly when referring transboundary areas. This work aims enable spatial planners include their climate change adaptation measures using available data. We focus on a set of (e.g., extreme heat, drought, landslide) and propose four-step methodology (i) harmonise existing data from different databases scales for assessment mapping (ii) read identified bundles homogeneous territorial The methodology, whose outputs replicable other EU contexts, is applied the illustrative case Northeast Italy. results show significant difference between with ‘dichotomous’ behaviour (shocks) those more nuanced one (stresses). harmonised maps single represent new piece knowledge our territory since, date, there no comparable this level definition understand hazards’ distribution interactions study does present some limitations, including putting together remarkable hazards.

ABSTRACT Shiqu County, China, represents a vital component of alpine ecosystems on the eastern Qinghai‐Tibet Plateau, playing pivotal role in regional ecological functions. However, amid backdrop climate change and rapid land‐use transformation, its delicate remain persistently threatened by human activities, including several nature reserves Ramsar site within it. This paper analyzes temporal spatial evolution differentiation Ecosystem Service Value (ESV) County (1980–2020), focusing driving factors. The research findings reveal that: (1) From 1980 to 2020, experienced general trend diminishing unused land, grassland, cultivated alongside an expansion forested water areas, construction land. (2) Throughout study duration, ESV exhibited growth trajectory, escalating from 26.180 billion CNY 26.848 representing net increase 2.55%. Grasslands played most substantial contributing Shiqu's ESV. (3) all ecosystem service functions growth, with hydrological regulation supply notably increasing 9.07% 8.81%, respectively. (4) Land‐use distribution demonstrates significant vertical zonation along gradients altitude, slope, aspect, terrain ruggedness, resulting pronounced variations ESV, per unit area across various (5) is influenced both natural economic factors, factors exerting more influence disparities than provides insights guide policymakers prioritizing conservation efforts fragile optimizing strategies achieve sustainable development goals, offering transferable framework for similar regions globally.

ABSTRACT Understanding the combined impacts of socio‐ecological drivers on trade‐offs and synergies between ecosystem services (EST/ESS) is vital for stakeholders in regional planning governance. However, limited knowledge underlying mechanisms hinders our ability to assess impact configurations EST/ESS during processes natural social progress. In this study, we established a comprehensive research model delineating functional areas predicated geographic distribution (ESs) explore interrelationships among EST/ESS. First, quantified spatiotemporal distributions four ES indicators from 2000 2020 determined three distinct zones grounded service bundles (ESBs) relationships. Significant spatial heterogeneity occurred throughout study area. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed through which affected EST/ESS, it found that magnitudes these influences varied significantly identified zones. Natural, physical, biological factors, along with socioeconomic climate were directly or indirectly affect mediating variables such as vegetation cover landscape configuration. Based findings, provides actionable guidance zoning management policies aimed at achieving balanced sustainable development ecological systems. Conducted urban agglomeration northern slope Tianshan Mountains, offers valuable practical references growth large‐scale agglomerations China globally.
