Literature search across different databases showed that the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment has been extensively studied. On commercial front, Internet suggested numerous AI-equipped HVAC products have launched. These apply AI very ways, their energy-saving effects are also different. Such divergence uncertain may hinder application. To overcome this difference accelerate development applications, present study proposed a double diamond preferred reporting items for systematic reviews meta-analysis (PRISMA) method—an analysis method combined literature review with design thinking.
