Hydrogen is a crucial energy carrier for the Clean Energy Sustainable Development Goals and just transition to low/zero-carbon energy. This study examines the impact of alcohol blends on performance and emissions aviation micro-turbojet engines. Thus, propanol, butanol, pentanol, hexanol, heptanol, octanol were tested at 10%, 20%, 30% concentrations mixed with Jet A, as well an additional 5% heptanol blend to preserve base fuel properties, a JetCat P80 micro-turbojet. Physicochemical properties such density, viscosity, elemental composition analyzed before engine testing. Carbon dioxide (CO2) from 1 kg combustion varied, propanol yielding lowest 3.02 CO2 per highest 3.22 fuel. The following results obtained: lowered exhaust gas temperature by up 7.5% idle intermediate thrust but slightly increased it maximum power; mass flow concentration, peaking 20.4% above A for propanol; varied −4.92% +7.4%. While specific consumption 12.8% thermal efficiency declined 1.8–5.6% remained within ±2% A. Butanol emerged viable alternatives, balancing reduction efficiency. emphasize need optimal trade-off between environmental performance.

The production of hydrocarbon-based biofuels has been the target intense research worldwide. In this context, core goal present work was to investigate use mesopore-rich activated carbons (ACs) as support for sulfided Mo-based catalysts intended hydroprocessing lipidic feedstocks. key motivations were that, in comparison traditional inorganic supports such Al2O3, ACs are less propense form coke, due their lower acidity, and highly resistant hydrolysis, which is a very important aspect feedstocks because water abundantly produced during process.
