Aquavoltaics is an innovative and beneficial solution that makes dual use of water area for photovoltaic (PV) power generation aquaculture. Currently, China has made remarkable developments in aquavoltaics. This paper first analyzes the current development status aquavoltaics China, then takes TW “fishery–PV integration” base project Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, as a case study to analyze its economic social benefits, finally puts forward countermeasure suggestions China. It found Province one clustering areas this province high level specialization. The payback period (PP) 10.44 years, net present value (NPV) USD 18.5334 million (the discount rate 5%), internal return (IRR) 8.06%. benefits are mainly reflected promotion energy conservation emission reduction, alleviation shortages, optimization land use, culture, tourism, science, education. should be promoted by strengthening scientific research, paying attention impact PV panel erection on ecological environment waters, emphasizing fishery farming part aquavoltaic project, improving commercial operation mode project.
