Thermal
power
plants
play

role
in
present
systems
because
of
their
high
efficiency,
fast
startup
capability,
and
flexibility
to
integrate
the
variability
renewable
generations.
These
thermal
units
can
utilize
various
fuels,
including
coal,
natural
gas,
oil,
which
enhances
both
economic
performance
security
overall
energy
system.
Representing
fuel
cost
functions
these
with
multiple
fuels
(MFs)
as
binary
decisions
involves
adding
variables
dispatch
(ED)
problem.
The
inclusion
nonlinear
results
complex
NP‐hard
mixed‐integer
programming
(MINLP).
This
paper
provides
another
perspective
on
ED,
where
indicator
represent
MF
options
determine
should
be
set
zero.
Based
this
perspective,
builds
tight
model
handle
solve
MINLP
ED.
Moreover,
introduces
an
iterative
solution
method
bound‐tightening
technique
