The Northeast Tiger-Leopard National Park (NTLNP) in China is an area of great ecological significance, known for its abundant wilderness resources and biodiversity. However, the habitats NTLNP have been threatened by historical land use cover (LULC) changes caused urban expansion economic development. In response to this challenge, study based on remote sensing-derived LULC products from 2005 2020, utilized equivalent factors refined ecosystem service values (ESV) assessment model, conjunction with Moran's I Getis-Ord Gi* spatial analysis methods evaluate macro-scale pixel-scale spatio-temporal dynamics ESV NTLNP. We also employed cold hot spot (CHSA) method identify zones improvement degradation within Our findings indicate that over past 15 years: (1) Forestland possesses most substantial proportion (97.48%), regulating value major contributor among four types services (71.31%). (2) Despite a fluctuating trend increasing, decreasing, then growing overall growth NTLNP, benefits difficult return their peak 42.184 billion CNY 2015. (3) waters exhibit high dynamic 27.91%, underestimation 28.4 million CNY. (4) unveils dispersed distribution pixels, cumulative significantly larger than share pixels. (5) CHSA results showed areas intensive human activity, such as towns surrounding areas, tend experience degradation, while regions effective river management, basin Hunchun county-level city, improvement. Therefore, delineates regulatory result CHSA-based decision tree, pinpoints ecologically core further categorizes these risk levels types, helping maintain balance between allocation physical park management primary conservation needs national park. Moreover, recommends policymakers take measures strengthen mitigation, enhance focus where fragile, optimize internal parks.

This study incorporated ecological footprint (EF) consumption into a framework to assess well-being. A model and implementation for characterizing regional net well-being were then developed. Using the Guanzhong Plain Urban Agglomeration (GPUA) as case study, land use data from 2000 2020 utilized calculate ecosystem service value (ESV), representing supply side of functions. Simultaneously, EF was assessed demand side. Taking account level economic development characteristics people’s living, evaluation constructed arrive at deficit or surplus situation. The results indicated that: (1) overall ESV GPUA follows trend initial growth followed by decline. Woodland, grassland, farmland are main contributors total ESV, with regulating supporting services accounting more than 80% value. (2) in shows significant upward trend, increasing over 70% on average. carrying capacity has slightly increased, biologically productive area that can support human activities expanding 1909.49 million hectares. Additionally, urban agglomeration cities tended stabilize since 2015. (3) Since 2010, anthropogenic continued exceed capacity, resulting an deficit. average compensation per hectare increased 35.588 CNY 187.110 CNY. offers theoretical foundation definition research providing accurate assessment multiple scales. For the preservation of ecosystems, including enhancement ecological strategies, examining temporal and geographical variance in ecosystem services (ESs) land use/land cover change (LUCC) is crucial. Gannan situated on upper Yellow River, which a notable water conservation region with excellent quality, but background local traditional production mode rapid economic development, natural disasters, grassland degradation, other problems occur frequently. The integrated valuing tradeoffs (InVEST) model patch-generating use simulation (PLUS) are combined this work to assess spatiotemporal ESs Gannan. We set up three scenarios modeling future use—ecological protection (EP), development (ND), (ED) 2050—and analyzed evaluated drivers variation ESs. In order reveal LUCC between 1990 2020, we predicted spatial distribution characteristics 2050, explored correlation its driving factors, comprehensively propose optimization measures strategies. Through several experiments, findings indicate following: (1) largest percentage expansion for construction 2020 74.53%, most noticeable shrinkage sand area 20.67%; (2) from Gannan’s yield, carbon storage, soil retention, habitat quality all changed, by 60 × 108 m3, 0.04 t, −10.66 −0.02, respectively; (3) influenced variety societal variables: southern southwestern regions home majority hot spot areas, while northern cold areas. This study contributes analysis developmental traits ecosystems can serve as terrestrial comparable environmental traits.

To achieve a sustainable development path that harmonizes ecological and economic considerations, China has advocated the “two mountains” concept: “lucid waters lush mountains are invaluable assets”. This idea posits those who protect environment can economically benefit by selling pristine landscapes utilizing rich resources. paper use “the equivalence factor method” to calculate benefits, introduces technical measure—the conversion rate of ecosystem service value—and analyzes its temporal spatial evolution from 2003 2020 in operational areas 87 state-owned forestry enterprises Northeast China. The findings show: (1) significant improvement ecosystem-service quality, with value increasing 404.7 850.2 billion CNY between 2020. restoration China’s KSFR provides foundation for social development. (2) A decrease gains derived operators developing protected ecosystems, most decline observed benefits generated supply product, including timber harvesting. However, industrial structure shifted being dominated production diversified development, non-timber forest resources becoming an important part regional growth. Ecological zoning management aims to ensure ecological functions and improve environmental quality, serving as an essential means optimize the development protection of territorial space. However, comprehensive research on that combines human needs with natural resources is still relatively scarce. In this study, we selected water yield (WY), food provision (FP), carbon sequestration (CS) critical ecosystem services (ES) in China. An InVEST model, supply–demand index (ESI), random forest (RF), geographically temporally weighted regression (GTWR) were used analyze spatiotemporal characteristics influencing factors ES supply demand, four-quadrant model was spatial matching patterns. The results showed that: (1) from 2005 2020, demand WY, FP, CS increased. Among them, increased by 16.06%, 34%, 22.53%, respectively, while 5.63%, 12.4%, 83.02%, respectively; (2) WY follow a “high southeast low northwest” pattern, all demands exhibit east west” pattern; (3) average service (ESI) values for China are 0.45, 0.12, −0.24, showing overall upward trend. study identified three dominant functional zones CS, four classification zones, including conservation improvement reconstruction zones. These findings provide scientific basis future space planning application sustainable development.
