Reducing wheat and bread loss waste is crucial for ensuring global food security sustainability. The importance of reducing particularly significant in Iran, where a staple crop vital component the country’s security. A value stream mapping study was conducted to identify hotspots critical data gaps along lifecycle (WBL). In October 2018, 14 experts were surveyed Fars province, Iran’s second-largest producer. presents detailed cradle-to-grave overview WBL identifies farms, foodservice, households as hotspots. results revealed regarding on-farm household waste. Additionally, although exist other segments WBL, they are not readily accessible nor utilized report waste, highlighting need transparency within system further research compile existing analyze Other researchers can employ holistic approach present investigate throughout items different geographical contexts. methodology adopted this offers advantages defining scope assessment circular economy studies.

The sharp increase in rural tourism brings, on the one side, economic and social benefits among communities but, other, contributes to environmental challenges, specifically waste generation natural resource consumption. From ecological perspective, several pathways have been developed from local global communities, such as prevention, reuse, recycling energy recovery. present research, by considering need boost separate collection valorize organic evaluates performance of a combined anaerobic digestion composting plant Southern Italy. purpose is investigate advantages disadvantages collecting areas recovering it into biomethane, digestate compost. First, research develops material flow analysis real, accessible available Secondly, basis results obtained, calculates compost potential Italy, amount produced 14 identified most beautiful villages Last, compares producing biomethane through or resorting community areas.
