The
spatial
distribution
of
border
regions
highly
overlaps
with
key
ecological
function
zones
and
economically
underdeveloped
areas,
making
the
coordination
between
urbanization
ecosystem
service
value
(ESV)
crucial.
Taking
China's
western
counties
as
a
case
study,
this
study
explores
spatiotemporal
variation
characteristics
ESV,
levels,
their
coupling
relationship.
By
applying
Obstacle
Degree
Model
geodetector
analysis,
we
identify
factors
that
obstruct
drive
coordinated
development
ESV-urbanization
system
from
both
internal
external
perspectives.

ESV
in
declined
gradually,
while
increased
significant
imbalances
development.

counties,
degree
(CCD)
was
either
mildly

severely
unbalanced,
