This
paper
investigates
the
non-monetary
motivations
of
farmers'
adoption
agri-environmental
policies.
Unlike
monetary
(income)
motivations,
drivers
can
not
be
directly
observed
but
identified
from
observational
data
within
appropriate
quasi-experimental
designs.
A
theoretical
justification

is

formulated
and

consequent

experiment

Internal
combustion
engines
(ICEs)
have
served
as

powertrain

mobile
sources

1890s

significant
contributors
to
CO2
emissions
in
transportation
sector.
In
order
achieve
"carbon
neutrality"
sectors,
ICE
vehicles
(ICEVs)
are
facing
substantial
challenges
meeting
regulations
intense
competition
from
battery
electric
fuel
cell
vehicles.
Consequently,
new
technologies
of
ICEs
continually
emerging
enhance
competitiveness
reducing
environmental
impacts.
However,
limited
studies
on
life
cycle
assessment
(LCA)
make
it
difficult
evaluate
actual
contributions
a
perspective.
Conducting
systematic
review
LCA
could
identify
weaknesses
gaps

scenarios.
Therefore,
this

presents
