In recent years, some components and active ingredients from the herbal formula “eight famous herbals in Zhejiang” (Zhe-Ba-Wei) have been reported to possess antitumor properties. However, there is still no systemic study on role mechanism of Zhe-Ba-Wei cancer. To systematically investigate anticancer efficacy Zhe-Ba-Wei, we first identified 17 with gene targets associated various types tumors. Second, screened these their responding multiple shared by analyzing convergence diverse tumor-specific target sites four crucial (ferulic acid, quercetin, rutin, luteolin), which were characterized 27 overlapping targets. Third, subsequently mapped onto Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) pathway Gene Ontology term, among total potential targets, 12 involved plasma membrane function. Fourth, investigated binding affinities between such as EGFR MET, both are well-known oncogenes cancers. Subsequently, an investigation computational ADMET properties showed that most exhibited good Finally, found three luteolin, quercetin) could inhibit proliferation non-small cell lung cancer cells decrease protein expression a concentration-dependent manner. All results shed light bioactive components, pharmacological effects, drug development utilization aiming provide useful support for its further research clinical application.

Epicatechin (EC)-based derivatives have garnered significant attention for their powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and antibacterial properties, all of which are attributed to the phenolic hydroxyl groups in structure. These compounds promising regenerative medicine, particularly as bioactive components scaffolds. This review provides an in-depth analysis mechanisms by EC-based materials enhance tissue repair, examining application various scaffold forms, such hydrogels, nanoparticles, nanofibers. study also addresses challenges stability bioavailability associated with ECs proposes encapsulation techniques overcome these barriers. The potential clinical benefits medicine role fostering advancements engineering discussed, making this a valuable resource guiding future studies on integration into practice.
