ABSTRACT Compared to traditional phantoms, anthropomorphic head phantoms offer greater advantages in mimicking real human experimental scenarios. Thanks continuous advancements 3D printing technology and ongoing development of tissue‐mimicking materials, significant achievements have been made the production phantoms. A comprehensive narrative review was conducted using Google Scholar as primary database for literature retrieval. Specific search terms were employed identify studies on MRI excluding digital or animal models. Retrieved then categorized organized based physical properties simulated by summarizing preparation methods presenting their application examples MRI. There are two manufacturing options producing with printing, namely direct indirect manufacturing, both demonstrating unique merits. Based quantitative comparisons between measured values actual conducted, revealing notable discrepancies them. During phantom fabrication, challenges such long‐term stability, bubble formation, susceptibility‐matching issues identified. This paper also summarizes optimized strategies addressing these problems. Future will achieve multidimensional simulations, replicating not only anatomical structures but physiological activities functional behaviors. advancement aims accelerate clinical translation novel, efficient imaging technologies methodologies. Evidence Level 5. Technical Efficacy Stage 1.
