Colorectal cancer (CRC) is among the most malignant pathologies worldwide. A major factor contributing to poor prognosis of neoplastic diseases development drug resistance. It significantly reduces utility therapeutic protocols and necessitates search for novel biomarkers treatment strategies combat cancer. An evolutionarily conserved catabolic mechanism, autophagy maintains nutrient recycling metabolic adaptation also closely related carcinogenesis, playing a dual role. Autophagy inhibition can limit growth tumors improve response therapeutics. Lysosomes, key players in autophagy, are considered promising targets anticancer treatment. There still insufficient data on role poorly studied glycoproteins such as lysosome-associated membrane (LAMPs). They act multifunctional molecules involved multitude processes like development.
