Benthic macroinvertebrates are crucial to the health of river ecosystems. However, their conservation status is often overlooked. Due limited mobility and sensitivity habitat changes, survival threatened. Given current lack research on value composition evaluation, this study refers total economic (TEV) framework preliminarily construct a systematic evaluation for freshwater benthic macroinvertebrates. Through field surveys, questionnaires, market survey data, in Tuojiang River Basin Chengdu was systematically clarified. The monetized using methods such as price method, substitute simulated method. main conclusions follows: (1) biodiversity area ranges from 6.36 × 108 12.76 CNY/a, accounting 0.17–0.34% region’s 2019 GDP. various values order proportion non-use > direct service Direct Material indirect use value. This indicates that biological group has enormous potential significant importance. (2) proportions amounts species differ. Viviparidae, Odonata, Ephemeroptera, Palaemonidae relatively high, reaching 9.8–23.8%. Atyidae, Semisulcospiridae, Bithyniidae about 5%. Unionidae, Corbiculidae, Aillpullaridae less than 3%. These differences mainly influenced by factors population numbers region, public perception, aesthetic preferences, dietary habits. scientifically comprehensively assesses regional macroinvertebrates, providing reference assessment other groups within region offering scientific basis sustainable utilization target groups.
