This paper studies the implementation of twin transition, i.e., combination digital technologies and European Green Deal goals, to achieve sustainable solutions supporting creation impactful, net-zero carbon a resilient built environment with focus on Northern Europe, specifically Finland. The subject was examined from policies, technology market perspectives. Numerous regulations policies are driving transition since many them include obligatory requirements for member states. Technologies combinations exist support in Nordic environment. It assessed that energy most important control, monitoring automation second category transition. In addition, individual technologies' maturity relevance cold climates were evaluated. By analyzing case studies, it found markets not mature enough lead but external boosts needed. However, this can also be seen as an opportunity service business. results focused legislation supports international SDGs.

Indoor climate is closely related to human health, comfort and productivity. Vertical plant wall systems, embedded with sensors actuators, have become a promising application for indoor control. In this study, we explore the possibility of applying machine learning based anomaly detection methods vertical systems so as enhance automation improve intelligence realize predictive maintenance climate. Two categories anomalies, namely point anomalies contextual are researched. Prediction-based pattern recognition-based investigated applied detection. The results show that neural network-based models, specifically autoencoder (AE) long short-term memory encoder decoder (LSTM-ED) model surpass others in terms detecting respectively, therefore can be deployed into walls industrial practice. Based on results, new data cleaning method proposed prediction-based cloud practice proof-of-concept. This study showcases advancements Internet things fully utilized by researches building environment accelerate solution development.

Purpose The changes brought by Industry 4.0 go beyond transformations in the industrial environment. increasingly frequent digitization and robotization of activities is not only restricted to environment, but also people's daily routine. People spend a large part their time inside buildings, maintaining adequate Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) an essential factor for healthy productive In this sense, purpose study verify how Internet Things (IoT) being used improve indoor through sensors that instantly measure conditions Design/methodology/approach aim paper verify, literature review, IoT building control (for energy saving purposes) monitor IEQ order provide better environment occupants, terms health comfort. By combining keywords databases, PRISMA method was select articles analysis, 91 were analyzed. Findings main findings research are: (1) applying buildings reduce consumption; (2) there interest developing low-cost sensoring devices with learning approach; (3) Machine Learning methods are mainly purposes learn about occupants' behavior focusing on thermal comfort; (4) era requirement help comfort well-being. Originality/value Studies directly correlating limited. This emphasises link between them, presentation recent built

This paper proposes a central energy management system (EMS) in smart buildings. It is based on the coalition method for optimal sharing between Game theory applied to obtain an allocation of building's surplus deficient buildings using Shapley value, which enables unequal distribution demand. The main objective reducing waste while preserving generation/demand balance. fog platform with memory storage applied, handles all measured data from through Wi-Fi-based communication protocol and performs EMS program. meter links fog-based unit. Two scenarios are implemented difference total energy. Coalition game when lower than deficient. Also, there one-to-one relationship building; if larger deficit, extra stored further usage. proposed tested city 10 MATLAB A comparison result obtained without applying performed. performance introduced run delay time size results show effectiveness building.
