Enhancing energy efficiency within the building sector is imperative to curbing losses, given that this alone contributes over 34% of global consumption. Employing a management system, along with its regular updates, presents strategic avenue decrease usage, enhance efficiency, and more. Tailored control strategies, aligned unique characteristics usage patterns each building, are essential for achieving savings. This article an evaluation HVAC system in office buildings, utilizing data-driven approach coupled simulations conducted IDA ICE software. The research explores strategy equipped constant air volume featuring regularly controlled handling unit. objective boost while striking balance between occupant comfort Findings indicate by analyzing measured data adjusting configurable parameters, consumption can be significantly reduced. Close monitoring indoor parameters operators corresponding adjustments yield savings up 16%. Leveraging these insights, paper suggests integrating dynamic simulation methods into models optimize systems, advance ambitious carbon neutrality objectives.

Flexibility in buildings is a low-cost alternative to support the electricity network with high penetration of variable generation. There limited understanding energy flexible behaviour response market signals. In this paper, price-responsive commercial building cooling system has been studied. A first-order virtual battery model and flexibility function-based approach have used understand varying price The signals delivered changes demand profile, altering temperature set points. structural thermal storage capacity was found vary depending on changes. Low provoke positive respect baseline demand, taking charging mode. Similarly, lead discharging mode, reducing instantaneous condition system. HVAC operating states, e.g., free cooling/economiser mechanical cooling, notable impact flexibility. function shows that for very low-price value, setpoint approaches lowest comfort bound, increases significantly. deviation between maximum minimum 207 kW studied gives an estimated 7248.2 kWh. yields delivering cost savings 13 %.
