Buildings have the potential to mitigate climate change effects by integrating energy-efficient solutions. Building resilient design strategies based on forthcoming weather predictions offers an effective means of adaptation. The study focuses impact residential buildings in Istanbul and Izmir, two Turkish cities with distinctive characteristics. By creating future scenarios conducting dynamic simulations, buildings' improvement measures' performance under RCP 4.5 8.5 short- long-term periods are evaluated. findings reveal varying degrees regions, decreased heating degree days (HDDs) increased cooling (CDDs). Notably, scenario projects significant temperature increases, a rise 4.3 °C 5 leading profound consequences for buildings. CDD can be doubled July reach 292 Izmir quadrupled, reaching 158 Istanbul. A novel multi-criteria thermal resilience certification scheme for environments during extreme heat events proposed in this paper.
