This paper aims to consider the issue of increasing environmental friendliness shipping by using alternative fuels in marine diesel engines. It has been determined that engines are not only main heat used on ships sea and inland waterway transport, but also sources emissions toxic components with exhaust gases. The compounds whose controlled regulated international organizations sulfur oxides (SOX) nitrogen (NOX), as well carbon dioxide (CO2). Reducing NOX CO2 while simultaneously is possible fuel mixtures include biodiesel fuel. During research carried out Wartsila 6L32 (Shanghai Qiyao Diesel Co. Ltd., Shanghai, China), RMG500 DMA10 petroleum were used, their FAME. was found when containing 10–30% FAME biodiesel, reduced 11.20–27.10%; under same conditions, 5.31–19.47%. use (one which it) one ways increase level sustainability seagoing vessels promote ecological shipping. particular relevance operating special areas World Ocean. relatively low energy intensity method creating such contributes spread its many means maritime transport.

The efficient and environmentally friendly air conditioning system plays a vital role in cost reduction efficiency improvement within the shipping industry. This study focuses on specific ocean-going container ship equipped with 8S90ME-C10.2 marine diesel engine as its main propulsion system. Firstly, cooling load of 149.56 kW wet 18.04 g/s for were calculated to determine an energy-efficient comfortable scheme. Secondly, novel combined system, integrating temperature humidity solution dehumidification enhanced transcritical CO2 refrigeration using injection subcooling, was proposed. regenerator generator utilized cylinder liner water heat source. Based modeling, numerical simulation, result validation, comprehensive analyses quantitative evaluations conducted investigate sensitivity regulation parameters, performance, components exergy efficiency, economics. Finally, employing multi-objective optimization algorithm, optimal operating conditions corresponding objective functions obtained: exhaust pressure 9.43 MPa, regeneration 91.08 °C, subcooling degree 19.48 coefficient performance 3.697, loss 84.136 kW, annual $111,300. exhibits high environmental friendliness, comfort, making it well-suited handle fluctuating loads during through varying sea climates.
