The production of biodiesel via simultaneous esterification and transesterification reactions residual fats such as palm oleins, with variable TG FFA composition, using methanol methane sulfonic acid (MSA) or an carbon-based structured catalyst (SO3H-C) homogeneous heterogeneous catalysts respectively, has been investigated. influence various parameters, to oil molar ratio, operating temperature, amount catalyst, nature composition the raw materials on fatty methyl esters (FAME) yield was studied. It determined that increasing ratio resulted in increase conversion a higher FAME yield; besides, reaction temperature strong effect. best conditions tested obtain highest (99.2%) 12:1, 120 °C (12 bar), time at least 1 h, 3% MSA catalyst. work demonstrated acidic solid SO3H-C, homemade prepared, could be used process under optimized conditions, achieving complete some limitations respect close 90.5%.
