The pathway to sustainable development: The roles of financial development, technological innovation, and educational development in energy poverty alleviation

Abstract This paper investigates the dynamics of energy poverty by evaluating roles played financial development, technological innovation, and educational among other factors. It seeks to identify pathways for sustainable development in Belt Road Initiative (BRI) countries. Based on recent panel data from 2000 2020, this research classified sample into various income groups a comparative analysis. A multidimensional comprehensive index was then formulated through principal component analysis (PCA). study assesses relationships between variables using novel quantile autoregressive distributed lag (QARDL), ordinary least squares (OLS), unit root tests, Kao cointegration Wald tests. The results tests confirm presence across all overall sample. QARDL approach indicates significant negative long‐term relationship than low‐income Similarly, innovation has association with most groups, exception being upper‐to‐middle‐income Furthermore, negatively influences long term lower‐middle‐income findings suggest that are connected both short term, while only connection term. In addition, test revealed time‐varying integration parameter stability terms.
